Hello, my name is Daniella Barnea. I was born and raised in Israel. And I have been in the United States for many, many years. I am a tutor for the Palo Alto school district, where I’m helping kids that come from Israel, that speak Hebrew, and from German-speaking countries, as I speak German too. I hope to mainstream them into the school system. I find it very rewarding to see kids that come with very little knowledge of English, or sometimes no background of English at all, and over a period of a few months, they are a part of the school system speaking English like they were not from a different country. I find it wonderful to see that it can be done to help change the world to a better place where people from different countries get together and speak the same language, and hopefully resolve some of the future problems later in life. I don’t think I can change the whole world, neither can every person, but if everybody does a little something, we can make a big change and make the world a better place for everybody to be.
