My message: In this day and age when cyber wars are fought in the air and troops still march boots on the ground, every aim for peace is to be supported and encouraged. People everywhere need and deserve peace and development, to live free and healthy, in harmony with all. Every peaceful aim is worthy of pursuit -- from the person to the household to the family to the neighbourhood, to the city, to the nation. Peace is sought and achieved in multiple ways, but each with the same aim: of making humankind inhabit a globe we equally share in our hearts and minds. People and organizations pursuing peace everywhere do so confident that seeds will eventually germinate and olive branches will eventually populate the global landscape. FOWPAL contributes to our global quest for world peace, not only between nations but more so between peoples. Its invitation to people everywhere to think and act for peace and happiness in 2014 is a bell that rings worldwide on this day and ears that hear will certainly hear the sweet sound of world peace, love and happiness. The sound has been heard in Saint Lucia and the likes of the National Volunteer Organization and Sensi Jimmy James have long echoed that sound. Those here who have visited with FOWPAL in Taiwan are ringing our own small bells for peace and will continue do our small part for world peace. We invite all others everywhere to listen and if we all do today, the loud global gong will certainly help ring in the new era of world peace and love that FOWPAL visions for 2014 and beyond.
