2016 World Summit of Love and Peace
The Education of World Citizens: Conscience and Culture
Members of the Association of World Citizens (AWC), the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), and Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy have participated in annual NGO conferences and various UN meetings for many years. With the help of many other volunteer workers, we work to generate real actions intended to stop the Earth from sliding into an abyss, and host world summits held in concert with the conferences. For decades, the Cultural Goodwill Group of World Peace and Love, formed by members of AWC, FOWPAL and Tai Ji Men has traveled around the world to meet with world leaders and share with them the message that kind words and good intentions can change the world as well as practical ways to implement the idea.
It is important to connect with various NGOs in all possible aspects. Thus, the important concepts of love and peace, respect and equality, as well as sustainable development education will deeply take root in people’s daily life. We have organized activities such as cultural exchanges, ceremonies of ringing the Bell of Peace, and world summits of love and peace in an endeavor to promote appreciation for different cultures and to generate respect for differences in various cultures. The reverberating sounds of the Bell encourage mutual understanding and respect, consolidate consensus, deliver the energy of love and peace, and promote real actions to work towards a sustainable future of peace.
The cultural exchange of love and peace can affect people’s mood and form a protective shield of positive energies. We have no other home besides this planet. That is why we have to love it and protect it from sliding into extinction. This is the key to our collective survival.
